Summer Leadership Training Camps

Change of schedule: Our 2008 Wisconsin Teens for Life Summer Leadership Training Conferences have had a change of schedule. The North camp, originally scheduled for June 15 - 20, has been re-scheduled for August 10 - 15. The South camp dates (July 20 - 25) remain unchanged. For more information, contact jlittle@wrtl.org.

It’s the opportunity of a (pro-) lifetime!! Imagine spending an entire week surrounded by other right-to-life teens – people who share your values and your passion for the cause of life – while learning how YOU can make a difference.

Learn more about abortion, infanticide, euthanasia, abstinence, stem cells and a ton of other related topics, while having fun with other teens. And that’s not all! Just some of our camp highlights include:

  • The Human Race (think the Amazing Race only with a right-to-life theme… oh, and not on TV).

  • Photo Scavenger Hunt.

  • GREAT Snacks! Coffee and Tea Bar – open all the time.

  • New right-to-life friends – the best you will ever make!

  • Sessions by great speakers who understand the issues and love talking to teens.

  • Swimming, volleyball, tree climbs, low ropes course and other recreational opportunities.

  • Some pretty awesome Power Points (if we don’t say so, ourselves…).

  • Hilarious skits involving major speakers.

  • The right-to-life education of a lifetime – that’s what this is REALLY all about.

But don’t just take OUR word for it!

Summer Leadership Camp Attendees Speak Out…

  • “I just don’t even think my heart can feel much more, but I will be more involved because there’s plenty more that I can do! Hurrah! Let’s go!!”
    - Bethany, 16

  • “Our parallel path to Nazi Germany is drawing ever closer [because of euthanasia] and I want to speak out more.” - Vince, 15

  • “Everything was wonderful. Keep up the great work – I love you all! This camp has made me want to change the world all the more than I did. The world is a mess!” - Girl, 17

  • “The whole camp experience was amazing and, of course, I cried… a lot! I am so much more dedicated now than I’ve ever been!” - Amber, 13

  • “I will become more involved now because I realize I need to wake up and do something!” - Girl, 15

  • “Everybody really seemed to care about the issues. Nobody was lukewarm about it. Everybody was excited and enthusiastic about getting the truth out there. I will be more involved now that I know more about abortion and euthanasia, and can defend my position with more confidence.” - Girl, 14

  • “I absolutely LOVED the Human Race. It was almost like being in the Amazing Race. I loved the different things we had to do and the clues.” - Girl, 15

  • “The workshops were very informative and didn’t allow me to go to sleep. The speakers had a lot of energy, which is always nice to see.” - Girl, 15

  • “The workshops rocked. Everybody at camp was seriously committed and not cliquey. It was a refreshing change.” - Girl, 14

  • “I enjoyed the slide shows, answers and the information and how we went step by step and explained things. I enjoyed how the speakers can make things fun for us to learn!” - Girl, 16

  • “This camp really inspired me to be ACTIVE in the pro-life movement. It was great to be surrounded with others who feel the same way. I am going to get involved in the local Right to Life chapter in my town.” - Girl, 17

  • “Personally I got a lot out of my experience at camps Esther and Nehemiah. These camps really opened my eyes to how big of a problem abortion really is. I realized that news media isn’t always very truthful and that there is a need for more right-to-life leaders in the world. I made new friends and had a great time. I feel that camps Esther and Nehemiah really made a difference in my life.” - D.J., 13

  • “Attending Camp Esther and Camp Nehemiah had to be the best week of my life. I learned so much about what it means to be pro-life and how to be a better right-to-life activist. Learning about abortion and euthanasia made me more aware of things going on in our world today. These horrible truths have had a permanent impact on my life. I "thought" I was pro-life before, but now I KNOW I am!"

  • "I came home feeling like I need to do more for the right-to-life movement! People need to know the truth, the deeper truth that I now know. I believe that God is telling me to become more involved in the movement and I want to be."

  • " I highly recommend that any teens out there who want to learn more and to be more active in the right-to-life movement, attend one of these camps. It is a life-changing experience.” - Amber, 13
