or a “Living Will”, Make Sure to Use Wisconsin Right to Life’s Recommended Package
None of us knows what the future holds. Any one of us could become incapacitated in the future and unable to communicate our health care wishes. Some people want to sign a document in advance that would let others know their wishes in the event of incapacity. If you are one of those people, please make sure the document you sign does not put your life in jeopardy!
The forms offered by the State of Wisconsin have dangerous pitfalls!
There are two kinds of advance directives offered by the State…the Power of Attorney for Health Care and the Living Will. Each of these State documents contain legal language that could put your life in jeopardy.
If you have decided to sign one of the State’s advance directives, make sure to supplement the State’s version with the Wisconsin Right to Life-recommended package. To the right you will find the recommended Wisconsin Right to Life “Power of Attorney for Health Care” and “Living Will” packages. For each you will find a detailed explanation of how it works and the reason it is imperative that you avoid signing only the State’s version.
